COMPONENT DETAIL

Configuration
CHASSIS
The chassis for this configuration must be configured as a four (4) 3.5” drive bay SR250. 7Y51CTO1WW (B403) provides a hardware-only foundation for this configuration, or 7Y51CTO3WW (B403) is available as a complete Scale Computing solution, including software, from Lenovo.
CPU
The CPUs listed in the component detail section reflect the tested, qualified parts. The Lenovo SR250 in this configuration is capable of operating with any Xeon-E CPU offered by Lenovo..
MEMORY
Xeon E-2200 CPUs support 2666MT/s DDR4 memory bus speeds with up to 2 memory channels. Actual configured speed and active channels depend on the CPU selection and DIMM population.

STORAGE
The SR250 can be configured in one of the following disk arrangements. For all HDD systems, all HDDs must be identical in capacity. For tiered systems, the HDDs must be identical in capacity. All flash systems, likewise, must have identical capacity SSDs in all drive bays.
“All Spinning” (4 HDDs) :

Tiered (3 HDDs, 1 SSD) :

All Flash (4 SSDs) :

The cabling from the HBA must be connected to port C0 as detailed in the photo:

NETWORKING
The Lenovo SR250 supports one PCIe network adapter card. Certified options are limited to:

The network adapter must be installed in the full height, PCIe x16 slot 2. In the 10Gb SFP+ configuration, the onboard GbE LOM 1 and 2 are unused.
1Gb RJ45 CONFIGURATION :

10Gb SFP+ CONFIGURATION :

POWER SUPPY
It is recommended for the system to be configured with the 450W (110-230V) platinum-rated power supplies. Power cables rated for at least 10A (@120V) should be used with the 450W power supply.

SYSTEM SETTINGS
Installation of HC3 (HCOS) requires system BIOS/UEFI settings to be adjusted to expected values.
